Nordika expands backed by Swedish institutional capital
The former partner and head of the Nordic region for Doughty Hanson & Co Real Estate Fund and Lehman Brothers Real Estate Fund, Jonas Grandér, has, together with Gabriel Cronstedt (former Lehman Brother Real Estate Fund and Lehman Brothers Mezzanine Fund), founded Nordika in partnership with Ericsson´s pension fund focusing on investments in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
The founders have a long and successful history of investing in the Nordic Countries and have previously participated in transactions of over EUR 3 billion in value, both as lender and principal investor. The team has generated approx. EUR 500 million in realised profits on the principal investment side (equity multiple of 4.8x). Nordika will initially target an investment volume of approx. EUR 200 million.
Nordika is structured as a property company offering a simple and transparent structure. Nordika´s focus is on yielding assets with a component of active asset management in all real estate asset classes, excluding hospitality.
