The property Bloomsville is located at Tietokuja 2 in Munkkiniemi Helsinki, formerly known as IBM’s office headquarters, will be transformed into a social infrastructure property by Nordika.

Nordika and Mehiläinen have signed a long-term lease agreement where a large part of the property, totaling approximately 6,700 sqm, will be entirely dedicated to care services.

Munkkiniemi will have modern and comfortable facilities for a total of 106 residents. The site will offer both 24-hour care services for the elderly for 81 residents, and housing services for people with intellectual disabilities, for 25 residents. The new service homes are located next to the Munkkiniemi health center, close to excellent transport connections and services. The center piece of the site will be a large atrium courtyard designed to promote community and an active lifestyle. The inspiration comes from the Hogeweyk village concept in the Netherlands, which innovatively combines care, community, and quality of life. We look forward to welcoming residents to our new units, says Niklas Härus,Business Director of Mehiläinen Mainiokodit.”

“We are very pleased with this large project together with Mehiläinen as they are a very reputable organization, and this also embarks on the first phase of Nordika’s sought after social infrastructure hub”, says Gabriel Cronstedt, COO and Founder of Nordika.

Property Bloomsville is situated in Munkkiniemi, one of Helsinki’s most prestigious and sought-after residential areas. It offers residents a diverse combination of nature, proximity to the sea, and high-quality services, where a care home facility will be well situated.

Additionally, Bloomsville is easily accessible by car and offers ample parking space for its users.

The property is approximately 30,000 square meters, providing large, single-level spaces with high ceilings. Nordika actively works to reduce the property’s environmental impact through various processes such as BREEAM and GRESB.
